About Me.

Bailey Roy is a Cincinnati-based visual artist, author, and illustrator whose work spans painting, bookmaking, illustration, and collage. A 2021 BFA graduate of the University of Cincinnati's DAAP program, she blends hand-drawn elements with digital techniques to create whimsical, witty work that explores curiosity, loneliness, and humor.

Bailey is an Emmy Award winner, recognized for her work sourcing and animating archival imagery for Sounds From The River, a Learning Through Art production in partnership with GreenCraft Media, staged at the Aronoff Center for America's River Roots Festival.

She lives in Covington, Kentucky.

Bailey finds her favorite moments in the quiet ones: sketching in a cozy corner, noticing some small weird detail in everyday life, trying out a material just to see what happens with it. She's a big softie about animals and gets emotional more easily than she'd like to admit. She lives in Covington, Kentucky, with her husband (who she has a crush on) and their cats, and she firmly believes that finding the humor in something is usually how you find the truth in it. Nothing is THAT serious.
